What foods are easily digestible to help repair lining of intestines?

My husband went to see a dr. in PR over the last few days for me. A yr. ago I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. This natural dr. gave me aloe and some pills and said to eat easily digestable foods for 2 months and it will repair the lining in the colon. I need more information as to what foods. I am not able to speak to the doc directly since I live in the US……. any help?

Sulfa drugs are making me go blind, so don’t want to take them much longer. Aloe works a bit, but only a certain brand and can’t find it around here any more. Any other ideas?
