Melanie asked:

Can you die from it? What exactly is it? Do I have it, if I only have one symptom? If I have it, am I never allowed to have anything that contains wheat like cookies and pasta? Sorry for so many questions, I’m just nervous and scraed that I might have it. Please answer! Thanks.
And what can I eat on a glute-free diet? You dont have to answer all of my questions, just as many as you like.

I just found out I have Celiac Disease (CD) It means I can’t have any wheat bairly or rye. You will not believe how many things have that in it. On top of that it causes so many food allergies. I have to be so carefull with everything that enters my mouth. I get really depressed about it. I am greatfull that they found out what was making me so sick but on the other hand eating is sometimes so painful and frutrating that I’ve pretty much stopped eating. I’ll eat something small once or twice a day. I’m sick of this. Any advice? Please help

o11o asked:

My pop was diagnosed with celiac not too long ago, and since it’s a genetic disorder, there’s a good chance that i have it too.
It would make sense since i have experienced some of the complications and symptoms associated with the disorder.
i haven’t been tested myself, because i don’t currently have insurance.
but either way, i’m not willing to give up wheat.

partly because it’s tasty. but mostly because it’s been subsidized like crazy and it’s CHEAP. and i;’m a college student, and therefore, poor.
